Wealth

I understand there remains no biblical prophecy to be fulfilled before Jesus returns in what is commonly called the "rapture" of the true church. He could come again at any moment.

Jesus could come back today.

This begs me to consider my state of readiness. I confess Jesus as Lord and have repented of my sins. I am a Jesus-follower.

Are you?

If He could come back at any moment, how then should we live?

And so I have been thinking about these things:
1. Should I pursue wealth, or seek to live my life with financial, political, emotional, and spiritual balance?

2. Should I tell others about the Lord and His salvation, or mind my own business?

3. Should I not be a student of biblical prophecy, especially in light of historical fulfillment of prophecies past?

4. Should I not be my brother's keeper; that is, should I not go out of my way to win the friendship of those outside the Christian faith?

5. Should I not live my life in such a manner that others will wonder what is different about me?

6. Should I not live as though I were in the world, but not of it?

7. Should I not be living in a certain expectation that Jesus could return today?

8. Should I not consider those things I watch on television, those books I read, the music I listen to, the movies I watch...all in light of the fact that I am a Christ-believer?

The rapture is where people simply vanish. The unique thing about this disappearance is that all of the people who will vanish are believers in Jesus Christ. Those who reject Christ will be left behind.

Friends, don't be left behind.
