Slow Down

I got choked up at lunch today.  Ate a chip and it got stuck.  At first, I was nervous...but in a bit, with the help of a lot of water, it went down.  Never was in trouble, but I learned a valuable lesson: slow down!

Slow down is a great philosophy in life.  Everything is so hurried, which makes me harried and stressed.  And guess what I'm accustomed to doing with my stress?  Yep, eat it right down with a bag of low-fat chips!

Okay, here's the deal...I've got to hurry up and lose weight so that I don't die young.  But the way to do it, in part, is by slowing down and taking in all of life.  I like what I read recently; the passage talked about learning the unforced rhythms of grace.  Relaxing.  Important message, I think.

Ah, what a delight.  To take life easier and to be kinder to myself.  Yep, to be a gentle breeze instead of that violent storm.

I walked again tonight.  3/4 of a mile in 15 minutes.

I'm going to go and relax.  Talk with you tomorrow night.
