Biblical Prophecy

Why is it that the Middle East is the bed of abundant oil?

I read today that the Garden of Eden was located in this area (the cradle of civilization began there). As such, oil deposits were robust as the Garden eroded after the Fall of Man. In other words, buried beneath the sands of this vast area lies the remains of the Garden of God.

That excites me! I get this overwhelming sensation of being near to the place where God walked and talked with Adam and Eve. That the presence of this oil mecca actually points to the Creator of all of life.

And, according to prophecy, this same area will serve as the base for the Archenemy of God and his legions. At the appointed time, they will march against the ancestral land given by God to Abraham and his descendants. Their goal will be to annihilate Israel once and for all.

Little Israel. No bigger than New Jersey, it serves as the epicenter of economic and political life and death. When it refounded on May 14, 1948, the prophetic timepiece began counting down to that conflict to occur in the valley of Meggido, near the city of Jezreel. The enemies of the world seeking to destroy and erase the very existence of God, His name, and His chosen people; and all will end in a moment, as the Lord of Hosts will return in triumphant victory.

The mere thought of the return of Jesus humbles me. Am I ready? Have I been faithful? Have I been honest with God? Am I worthy of His name?

Until that time comes, let's watch, wait, serve, and pray. Pray especially for the widows and orphans.
