Justice

God demands justice. We need mercy. By faith in God, we receive grace.

Good terms...but what do they mean? Justice...demanding a price be paid to remedy a matter. Mercy...not receiving what we deserve. Grace...receiving what we don't deserve.

Jesus satisfied God's justice for the sin each of us committed. As a result, God extended to us both grace and mercy.

We are guilty, you and I. We have sinned against the Almighty One. And we deserve justice; the penalty of our sin is death. But God demonstrated His great love for us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8) He was our substitute and the perfect payment for our sin.

When we repent (turn away) from our sinful lives, God extends to us grace and mercy.

Some, in arrogance, say no to God. They think they are smarter than we who trust in God.

They will receive justice with mercy and eternal life without grace.

Don't be one found in that camp. Avoid justice; receive mercy; live in grace. Do it today.
